Hello,

I bought a Sencore Lumagen Radiance XE with no power adapter. It is hard to find some original replacement for PSU online.
Main issue is that ih have 4 pin connector and there are many options with polarisation of it.
I know only that it should be 12V and around 5A output with 4 pins (4 Pin Kycon Power DIN Plug Connector).
I found few on Amazon. With next polarisation of 4 pin connector.

So my questions:
1. Maybe some one could advice me if those that I found will work for me.
2. Is the polarisation of 4 pin connector of suggested above is correct for Lumagen Radiance XE?

Thank you in advance!

I have no knowledge of this situation other than what I will post to hopefully help you if others don't know.

I would try to open the unit and look at the wires inside to see where they go and follow them to see what is ground etc.

But this XE isn't a cheap or easy unit to find, is it? I would try to contact the company and find out from them directly.
I believe Substance has said they will respond about issues and should be able to let you know the best.
Good luck.

Yes send an email to Lumagen. They will likely sell you the correct power supply or point you to the right one.

Thank you all for advices.

I got a response from Lumagen sales. They told me that shipping worldwide is possible only via DHL. And this is going to be very expensive around $150 according to DHL estimation delivery website + the price of original PSU which is $80. So I ordered few "similar" PSU from eBay I will try them. One was Sharp NL-A69J and another LiteOn PA-1081-01.
Also I ordered a 4 Pin Kycon Power DIN Plug Connector if I will need to change polarity from what I will have.
I'm going to open Lumagen and check with a multimeter what is ground and what is line on a connector and compare with the PSUs if it will be fine I will use those PSUs.

I will update this post when I have some results.

Just make sure you have it correct before you try it, once you mess it up there really isn't any going back.
Good luck.

Personally I would try:
Buying the 4 Pin plug, figure out the wiring/polarity and then wire up 12v power from desktop PC PSU (easy to find for $0).

This is the reply I got from Jim at Lumagen.

“ Looking at the back of the XE unit the jack has Ground on the lower left and +12 on the upper left.

Someone with basic soldering skills could transfer the plug to another 12 VDC at 2.5 Amp (or more current) power brick.

If you use a PC PSU remember you will need to make an on/off switch for it.
Should be green (power on) and black (ground) wires on the ATX plug.

The smaller form factor PC's will have a PSU shaped more like a small brick instead of a huge box, these generally have lower rating but should be fine for your purpose (think it's unlikely you will need 200w).

If you can source it in Ukraine, meanwell makes the best switching mode power supplies.

That is absolutely accurate, thank you!

If some one needs you can check it by disassemble the unit and on the main board there is "test" spot with 12 volts/ground titles. With a multimeter you can ping this spots with input connector and figure out what pin is +12 and ground. Connector outer shielding also grounded.

My PSU replacement arrived finally.
And it works fine. There are models LiteOn PA-1081-01 and NL-A69J from Sharp. It cost me 10$ each, LiteOn was new. Bought both just in case :D
Because the device itself quite old, it was very hard to find what PSU model needed, maybe all this information will help some one.

Thanks to everyone for advice!
