Good call! I'm surprised that didn't get a JP release, I wonder if it was considered?

Im due to rewatch that,
Had not seen since cinema release
DTS on LD would have been great.

My sister ordered 'Erin Brockovich' from a catalogue but got sent some other LD free and was refunded as the title was cancelled i remember.

Star Wars: Rogue one. The only Disney Star Wars release that deserves to have a release at all.

Eyes Wide Shut.
(Modern only in the sense that it was never released on LD.)

Modern in the sense that it’s terrible. If one needs to complete Kubrick on LD I guess it’s essential...

Either this, Jurassic Park, or Saving Private Ryan were the first DVDs I specifically sought out the DTS versions of... can't remember which, all around the same time when I pieced together my first home theater system in college (Winter '01/'02).

I've thought all the Disney Star Wars releases were good... but none of the Skywalker trilogy was great (Force Awakens was close). Solo was a lot better than it gets credit for, it just got bogged down in all the production and box-office news/drama. If it hadn't been for the budget swell of the director change and reshoots, it would have been a financial success and we'd probably all be watching Boba Fett or Obi Wan movies on Disney+ right now.

Pitch Black but ton of it. I don’t want to pay a lot of money because it’s rare 2000 release.

In CAV.

We did the math on that here once...maybe somewhere even in this thread. It would be a lot of discs, long story short. :)

13 discs, 25 sides in CAV if my math is correct... that's 6.5lb just for the discs, and probably 10lb+ once you add a collector's worth box.

If you looked like Peter Jackson before he mate LOTR when you started watching, you'd look like he did after just from calories burned on disc changes, especially with a single-side player!

Or carrying the box set home from the post office.

A release of 'Hobo with a Shotgun' would have been cool on laserdisc.
Always loved the cover art and its a fun movie to watch!

JP3 is literally one of only 3 movies where I've walked out of the theater... it really just wasn't good. I've watched it all the way through on DVD, but even that I regretted!

JP3 feels more like a direct to video sequel, but I found it more enjoyable than The Lost World which I thought was too preachy and mean-spirited.

The bad guys in Lost World were pretty hard to believe. Also the dumb Dino catching vehicles that were transparently designed to be toys. I wasn’t a massive fan of JP1 but it’s the best one I’ve seen for sure.

You know after reading the book and seeing the film only once the only thing I can remember are the annoying kids as in all
Spielberg films and the guy who gets eaten off the toilet.

Really the toilet was the only and funny scene I can remember.

MIchael Crichton should have told them not to continue it as movies but money speaks. though Lost World was worse with the crappy gymnast. It deviated the most from the book and was annoying as hell needless to say I refuse to believe in anything after Lost World exists.
