Because I found this karaoke channel which has a bunch of karaoke videos that were shot in Australia in approximately 2001-03. (But were meant for a domestic audience as opposed to an Asian one as was the case for most karaoke videos shot there in the '90s.) For all we know, maybe these vids are actually from DVD's, but the aesthetic is still pretty much like old LD karaoke videos. (The title cards and modeling shots.)

Karaoke and Laser jukebox LDs were the last ones produced, several years beyond the “last LD ever”, often incorrectly credited to the Dragon’s Lair reprint or that one Jackie Chan movie.

What manufacturer / plant were pressing LDs till 2010.

I knew they were pressed for a few years after the last commercial LDs for the consumer market but thought it ended a few years before 2010.

Thanks for the info.

Would've been nice if they could have done a non-karaoke disc before they stopped production, like as a LE bonus in an anime DVD/BD box set or something. I and probably a few thousand other otaku in Japan might've been willing to spend an extra 10000 yen or so if it meant getting a new LD in the late 2000's.

That would be up to a production company. This is just a factory that makes things on contract.
