Let's go Nats, and it looks like we'll both have to wait for baseball. Game got postponed. :(

Boooo!

Darn. I wanted to see Lindor play too. The heady days of 1986 are coming back, yeah! :D

I don’t know what this site is but it sure is secure. I couldn’t even figure out how to dismiss the full screen cookie pop up to read what’s on it. Great job, IT people!

You can never have too much PC Engine. Won some auctions off YAJ and ended up with a CD unit, Super CDROM2, Core Grafx, several controllers etc

The best systems of all time. What a shame the PCFX was underutilised.

Yeah I had a PCFX but couldn't justify keeping it. Truly microscopic library, but does have some interesting titles.

The PCE and Neo are my favorite systems. The FX just sucked though. It’s a sight to see in person and very well built but the actual game system inside is one of the most poorly designed in history. I think maybe only the designers of the SuperGrafx, Jaguar and 5200 did a worse job. The game library could have been better...in theory...but what developer wanted to make games for such a crippled POS with the PS and SS also on the scene at the same time and the OGs like SFC and PCE still around with actual users? Truly one of the biggest f ups ever in console history. I’d rather have a Marty.

Sold my PC-FX a few years back. Sold my PC Engine and Super CD to the same guy. I'm not good at video games so had to go. I made a good profit on the prices I paid at recycle stores in Japan early oughts. My key Big West continuity Macross games can work on an emulator I'm pretty sure thought haven't tried yet. I'm finding it hard to let go of my Neo stuff, even though I could make a lot on it I still really enjoy busting it out sometimes. Not that I can beat anything or ever get past level 3 of Metal Slug 4..I guess I need a save card. I kinda want to clear out all video games, end that chapter of my life and put the funds into more audio/video. Or furniture..or a car..

i found an avenue to acquire the 2019 reissue of this vintage 1985 HASEGAWA kit for a reasonable price, so i jumped right on one.

as a kid in the 80's, i saw ads for the YOUNG ASTRONAUTS U.S. market reboxing of this kit in the paperwork included with the MONOGRAM YA kits
my mom was having my dad build up to decorate my room with.

30+ years on, -feeling quite nostalgic indeed these days for my space-case childhood-
i feel i need my very own crack at this unusual, semi-Sci-Fi-themed model;

I hate to be part of the No Fun Brigade...... but the Moon has way too little atmosphere for that design to make a lick of sense. Bet you the company got some strongly worded letters from a handful of kids about that!

I don’t know what “Young Astronauts” is/was but they probably shouldn’t be repacking import scifi stuff and rebranding like that. :)

The OG reminds me of Maschinen Krieger, seems to be from the same era/scene of Hobby Japan contributors kitbashing WWII kits into near-future sci-fi and then making mass market kits based on that. Great stuff.

I have two copies of the 1st JP LD (one came from a lot) but haven't been able to find the 2nd episode yet, so haven't gotten around to watching it yet even though it looks like something I'd like.

I got the Viavision release of The Keep today.

It's an official release and not a bootleg. Only available in Australia on DVD (imports aside of course). The Viavision release is the only DVD (well, it's the only legit DVD full stop) presented with a 2:35:1 print. It also has a 2.0 stereo track.

Also you get a reversible cover to get rid of the certificate labelling. I've reversed my copy already.

Gave the disc a quick skim already. It looks great and sounds great. Happy duck here, though I can't fathom why a Blu Ray wasn't an option when planning this release?
