After two(!) duds, I finally got a properly functioning sample of the 1995 classic series Enterprise from Playmates. Unfortunately this one has some seriously corroded battery contacts, but at least I managed to clean them up well enough to get a proper contact and it actually works properly. Considering the other two, I actually wonder how common the faulty ones are. Did I just have a rotten luck with the other two or something? I also got this thing.

Some tat arrived today. First up a DVD I've been after for a few years now. Not because it's particularly rare (it's certainly not common). I just really only got round to it. This is Cosmic Enigma. A DVD only release in the Virtual Drug range. I think this is the last title I needed to get to finish off my Virtual Drug collection. I now have the full Laserdisc, DVD and Blu Ray range. Went on a bit of a 3D Blu binge. I bought T1 & T2 in a double pack but didn't spot T2 was the non-3D special edition! Can't be bothered to send them back as the T2 disc I think is the pre fixes edition. Need to check. Already have the correct T2 3D disc ordered. Pens! Ten of them! All the same! Why? When I visited Japan a while back I bought one of these pens in a ¥100 store to write some postcards. It's such a great Sharpie style marker, great for cards, labels etc with very tolerable bleed. Spotted 20 of these in an auction, separated in two bundles of 10. Wish I'd bought both lots now. Zebra do a double ended pen similar to this one, it's just as good if not better. I can't find these for sale in Europe. If anyone knows, help me out?! Last up, a bit of an ambitious splurge. The last iteration of the Sony HMZ series. It's a 3D twin OLED display which is also wireless and also MHL compatible so you can hook up your phone etc. Here's the best parts though. It has Sony 24p True Cinema mode, handles every type of 3D you throw at it (inc frame packed), and best of all it can handle everything audio-wise that you throw at it up to DTS-MA HD, 7.1 etc. Just not Atmos or DTS:X which is fair enough as it's from 2014. It's a bit a fiddle to get set up, but once you are strapped in it's a VERY convincing experience. Also, despite the OLED displays being 720p, I can say from briefly testing this out today that the picture quality is absolutely sensational. No screen door effect, no washed out image, blacks are black as pure coal etc. I own a PSVR and that absolutely pales in comparison to this thing. Why buy it? Because the time is not right for a projector etc. Also, I'm going on a 3D binge and this is the best way for me to play actual discs from a player with properly decoded audio. Major reason to get this over an Oculus Quest? I'm not giving my retinas to Mark Zuckerberg. I think the HMZ-T3 offers the best possible alternative to a projector solution for pure big screen film watching. The compromises being the 720p displays (seriously not an issue imho), the mass of cables in non-wireless mode and the slightly fiddly setup process and subtle awkward fit. One other thing to mention, the Japanese version is supposedly the one to get if you are in the market for one of these. The reason being the displays used are supposedly superior to the headsets released outside Japan. One downside is you cannot change the language on it from Japanese. Perhaps there is a hack but I'm unsure. The menus are not difficult to navigate anyway. I'm looking forward to watching 3D films and Laserdiscs on it, blown up to a 750 inch screen. From the very brief test so far, I think it's been worth the investment. I'm going to write about my 'home cinema' experience on my blog after a proper test. Same with the Mind Control discs I want to write about. Side note: the English HMZ-T3 instructions are available from Sony Australia if anyone needs them. https://www.sony.com.au/electronics/sup ... t3/manuals

More tat today. Continuing my thirst for 3D content, I got The Walk and Dark Star. Also got both SDBD volumes of Amazing Stories. I've not seen any of this stuff. I did see the documentary of The Walk which was very good. Heard good things about the 3D in this film.

Even more tat today as the 3D thirst becomes ever quenched. I got the new Lion King film, Metallica Through The Never, Terminator 2 3D, Dredd, Tron Legacy and Black Panther. All are in 3D. Also got Sin City 1 and 2 double pack which is not 3D. The 3D love-in continues!

I 'think' it was shot in 3D. The trailer is in 3D too. I wasn't aware a 3D edition existed until I stumbled on this disc. It's on Jeff's German online store if you want to pick up a copy.

Another day, another selection of 3D tat. Jurassic Park Collection 3D and Super Nitendo Chalmers Poke Man 3D. The Jurassic Park collection actually worked out cheaper to buy solely for the inclusion of JP Morgan 3D than buying said fillum on it's own. Didn't realise that Super Nintendo Chalmers comes with a Pokey Man card. I guess scalpers will be all over it now. Shame. Both of these are available tax free to New Delaware courtesy of Jeff. The tax free assault on 3D tat acquisition continues!

There's a Soundgarden 3D disc? Inject as much 3D content in to my retinas as possible!
