I confronted him by email (he already played the "Why you call me Ricardo, I'm not Ricardo!" when the IP address was the same...) and got a: Quote: Yes i opened an account and i was hoping things could move on, but you and some guys just think i should not belong to your group.
Well for me that's not important, if you want to block me just do it and i will never buy anything from your site anymore.
He really lives in a different dimension... where facts are less important than feelings Note the recurring promise to never come back so far has translated into 20+ accounts over 13 years: +------------------+---------+ | laser_predator | 2004-11 | | laser_chaser | 2005-05 | | high_def27 | 2005-10 | | high_end_stuff | 2005-12 | | lili.pioneer.pt | 2005-12 | | antinquities50 | 2006-07 | | lili79 | 2006-09 | | cararte | 2007-02 | | ld_magical | 2009-07 | | laser_paradise | 2011-05 | | mvauto | 2011-09 | | mv_cinema | 2012-03 | | josemaria | 2012-04 | | lilianapatricio | 2013-02 | | referencetheater | 2013-10 | | rtheater | 2014-09 | | cine_concept | 2015-01 | | cineconcept | 2015-09 | | cine_concepts | 2016-09 | | retrogames | 2016-11 | +------------------+---------+
That's exactly 300 orders entered via these accounts with the following breakdown: - 150 of them were cancelled.
- 48 are still in "waiting for invoice" (about $4,750 worth).
- 102 were eventually paid.
Feedback-wise it's about the same: - 96 negatives
- 13 neutral
- 87 positive
He just can't be trusted. He's been using disposable accounts and just creates a new one when the previous account gets hammered with negative feedbacks. What is pissing off most sellers is that he keeps promising to pay (that put the sold LDs out of inventory and out of shops all that time) for weeks, months, sometimes even years, and then don't pay. rein-o wrote: Wouldn't it be better to actually know who he is so that buyers can decide for themselves to buy from him or not?? I don't know if he's a good seller, but we have years of examples of him showing up online under different identities (including lying about who he is), going on a buying frenzy of sealed LDs then stopping communication, paying sometimes, paying partially, not paying at all and disappearing entirely, leaving sellers wondering what just happened. So far the same pattern has emerged (16 transactions, 5 cancelled): http://www.lddb.com/feedbacks.php?user=retro_gamesHe did good on his first order in November but became flaky thereafter and I started getting "please cancel this/these order(s)" from sellers before some of them started getting suspicious that it was Ricardo back again. I'm tired of cleaning up his mess every time he has some compulsive buying outburst. Julien

He missed all of February and March though I hope no one is getting scammed.

Hello, I think cararte (aka retro_games) he's back again as djnando from... you would have guessed by now... Portugal. 22 purchases, 18 cancellations (for non-payment) so far. Sounds right like him. One seller confirms that the Paypal invoice to the GMail account turned up an account with first name "Ricardo". Should we just delete ALL his accounts? He lied again. Julien
